Was in search of a red wolf today. Dragonflies found me instead. And what a variety! Never have I seen so many different colors in one place. Interesting fact: This last image I’ve included here is the precise moment i realized a baby alligator was at my feet. He wasn’t ready for his closeup however as he quickly scurried back into the water.

Roanoke Marshes Lighthouse along the Roanoke Sound in the small town of Manteo on Roanoke Island. This is a replica built in 2004 to honor the three lighthouses of the same name that were destroyed dating back to the 1800’s.
