upon this winter morn
bounces of light sneak in
a lone bird’s spirit awakens me
his song tickling my soul
granting me wings
soaring in a summer day we are
a smile chases my lips
as a giggle catches the air
and we, you and i
share the knowing breeze
in quiet harmony
to begin a new day
captured this image on the first day i took a new lens out and was having trouble getting used to it. As a result i got this, which I’ve actually grown to love. Less, to me, is always more. Even in his shadow I see resilience as this was a brisk winter morning with snow on the ground, yet there he sat, perched high on the branches of his tree beginning the day.
